The Midi Hoard metal detector from Nokta is the perfect detector to get your children out of the house and into metal detecting. The Midi Hoard is part of the world's first waterproof kids detector series. The Midi Hoard finds, discriminates and pinpoints just like an adult's detector.
The Midi Hoard is fully submersible up to 3 feet (1 meter) deep, meeting the IP68 criteria. The detector features a retractable shaft, allowing you to set the length from 32.5 inches to 43 inches, and the detector is lightweight weighing only 1.9 pounds.
This detector has an impressive build quality and a child-friendly design. The LCD display indicates whether a target is good or bad. The detector comes with a 7" search coil.
Operating at 15kHz and the metal detector has three sensitivity levels and two levels of discrimination. Three audio tones and a pinpoint mode to help identify and find targets.
The Midi Hoard metal detector requires 2 AA batteries (not included) and comes with a two-year warranty.

Will this work well on the beach for my son?
Yes! It will function perfectly fine in the dry sand, however, it will probably have some issues near the wet sand tideline.
