All the performance of the DEUS II, in its lightest and most compact FMF® (Fast Multi Frequency) configuration. Use the WS6 module directly on the stem for mono internal speaker use, or connect the module to the included backphones and detect in stereo with the WS6 headphone configuration. The WS6 and WS6ST module/headphones will also connect to other XP wireless headphones, further expanding your options
The WS6 Master includes a 1/8" Clip Jack Adapter, so you can also connect the XP FX03 wired headphones (not included) or your own pair of wired headphones.
*Note: The WS6 module is water-resistant, not IP68 waterproof and should not be used underwater. The fully waterproof coil lets you search shallow waters with an optional aerial antenna (not included). If you are not going to use the coil underwater, then you're ready to go!
IMPORTANT: While DEUS II metal detectors are enhanced through firmware updates, you do not need to purchase a new DEUS II to take advantage of the new expanded stereo audio if you already have a DEUS II or WS6 module. Firmware version 4.1 (and newer) on the DEUS II further enhances the XP ecosystem. It introduces new audio options for new (ST) stereo headphones, improves MI-6 management, and expands compatibility with all peripherals. With firmware version 4.1, DEUS II is now fully compatible with the entire ecosystem, including:
- DEUS II Remote Control (RC)
- *WS6 (Monophonic)
- WSAII (Monophonic)
- WSAII-XL (Monophonic)
- WS6ST (Stereo)
- WSAST (Stereo)
- WSAST-XL (Stereo)
*The WS6 module (firmware version 4.1 and newer) can now control the new (ST) stereo headphones using the same interface as the WS6ST and the Remote Control. However, using the compatible monophonic Clip Jack adaptor with the WS6 will not produce stereo audio, but wireless ST headphones connected to it will.

Does XP have a smaller coil for the DEUS 2 other than the 9 inch?

How does one use the antenna with the WS6 mounted on the stem?
The antenna is not needed unless you are using the coil underwater. If "one" was planning to use the coil underwater, then he/she would attach the antenna to the coil and wrap it around the shaft up to the WS6 module. Note* there is not a place to clip the antenna to the WS6 however you just need to place it nearby to maintain a signal connection between the coil (while underwater) and the WS6 module.
